Altura OS Privacy Policy

Altura OS may process business information necessary to support Altura's operations, including project information, company and contact information, estimates, budgets, purchase orders, subcontracts, invoices, billing records, documents, correspondence, schedules, accounting information, and other records related to Altura's construction and development activities.

When QuickBooks Online is connected to Altura OS, Altura OS may access and synchronize authorized accounting information made available through the Intuit QuickBooks Online API. Depending on the features enabled, this information may include customers, vendors, accounts, bills, expenses, invoices, payments, credits, journal-entry information, transaction details, and related accounting metadata.

Altura OS may also maintain technical information necessary to operate integrations, including connection status, synchronization timestamps, external record identifiers, error information, and authorization metadata.

Information processed through Altura OS is used for legitimate internal business purposes, including:

• managing construction and development projects;
• reconciling project budgets, commitments, and accounting actuals;
• coordinating procurement and subcontractor activity;
• supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project billing processes;
• preparing operational and financial reports;
• identifying missing, inconsistent, or unmapped project and accounting information;
• supporting authorized employees in managing Altura's business operations;
• maintaining and improving the reliability, security, and functionality of Altura OS.

QuickBooks information is used to connect accounting records with Altura's project and commercial records.

Altura OS is not intended to replace QuickBooks Online as Altura's authoritative accounting ledger.

Altura OS accesses QuickBooks Online data only after an authorized Altura user completes the Intuit authorization process.

Access is limited to the permissions authorized through Intuit.

Altura does not sell QuickBooks data or use QuickBooks data for advertising.

QuickBooks credentials, access tokens, and refresh tokens are handled server-side and are not intentionally exposed to ordinary users of Altura OS.

Disconnecting QuickBooks prevents future synchronization.

Certain previously synchronized records may be retained when reasonably necessary for legitimate business, accounting, audit, security, or recordkeeping purposes, subject to applicable requirements and Altura's data-retention practices.

Altura OS may use artificial-intelligence technologies to assist authorized users with activities such as summarization, classification, analysis, drafting, identifying potential exceptions, and interpreting project or financial information.

AI-generated information is intended to assist human users and does not replace authoritative project, contractual, accounting, or financial records.

Where financial or accounting calculations are presented as authoritative facts, Altura's design is to derive those calculations from structured records and deterministic software logic rather than allowing an AI model to independently invent financial values.

Altura does not sell personal or business information processed through Altura OS.

Information may be disclosed to service providers that support the operation of Altura OS, such as hosting, database, authentication, communications, artificial-intelligence, accounting-integration, and infrastructure providers, where reasonably necessary to provide those services.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, legal process, governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect Altura, its users, its systems, or others.

Altura uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information processed by Altura OS.

These safeguards may include authentication, authorization controls, project and workspace access restrictions, server-side credential handling, encrypted network communications, audit records, environment-based secret management, and other security measures appropriate to the nature of the information.

No information system can guarantee absolute security.

Altura retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for its legitimate business, contractual, accounting, legal, audit, security, and operational purposes.

Retention periods may vary based on the type of information and applicable business or legal requirements.

Authorized Altura users may access or update information according to their assigned permissions within Altura OS and the underlying systems from which information originates.

Accounting information originating in QuickBooks Online should generally be corrected in QuickBooks when QuickBooks is the authoritative source.

Altura OS may integrate with third-party services, including Intuit QuickBooks Online.

Those third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

Use of QuickBooks Online is also subject to Intuit's applicable terms and privacy policies.

Altura may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

The effective date will be updated when material revisions are made.
